Manchester Airport Group – ‘Wonderwall’

Scion supported the installation of Europe’s largest LED wall in the new terminal of Manchester Airport, through bespoke content creation and playlist management. This LED wall was there to support the new architectural design of the terminal, through content that was both culturally relevant to Manchester and creative concepts that highlighted the tourist destinations reachable from the airport.

Client Consultation – Scion led a creative group with the key stakeholders to provide key concept threads to ensure all elements of the brief were considered and agreed. Detailed designs and storyboards were pulled together and presented back to the client for approval.

Concepting through to design – Once the key focus concepts had been agreed, Scion ensured all creative was completed to the highest standards, all assets were produced to the correct formats and with the licences required for use in the airport setting.

Distribution – We worked with the onsite team, and the installation agency to ensure we delivered a seamless professional service. We provided a playlist design that allowed the client to have both media opportunities as well as the ambient concepts that they wished their customers to experience.

Continued Development – We continued to work with the internal teams to create further concepts to make sure that the content felt fresh and exciting for the travellers moving through the airport.
